Robe - the Gem of the South East

Robe, a small coastal town situated on the shores of Guichen Bay on the South Australian coast, is about 3½ hours drive from Adelaide and some 1½ hours from Mt Gambier.

The harbour and marina are the centrepiece of the town, and are within a few hundred metres of the post office, restaurants and shops. This bustling little port is home to Robe’s fishing fleet and a large number of pleasure boats. Robe boasts a number of beautiful beaches while the “town beach” is also very close to the centre of Robe.

Known also for its local wines, no stay in Robe would be complete without a trip to the wineries at Wangolina and Cape Jaffa.
